Misfit Yoga & Meditation is a non-profit 501(c)3 yoga and meditation studio committed to the magic of movement, yoga, and meditation. Misfit is a place to choose your own adventure and connect back to yourself. Misfit is an attitude but also the feeling of being strong and graceful. Misfit is a place where you can clear your mind and untangle the body one movement and one breath at time.

In a world where we move so fast, we take time to slow down, enjoy our breath and move with mindfulness. We aspire to be of service to others. We live in love, generosity, acceptance, tolerance, and compassion.

Misfit Yoga teaches participants to focus their attention, calm their minds, reduce stress, and think before reacting – tools necessary to live in today’s fast-paced world. We help people become active participants in the health and wellness of their schools and communities and be empowered to lead healthy, happy and productive lives.

Johnathan

Johnathan is the Founder of Misfit Yoga. He is a psychotherapist, Buddhist, Meditation and Yoga teacher. Johnathan is a registered 500-hour yoga teacher. Johnathan emphasizes tapping into the wisdom of the body with down-to-earth practices that allow the body to become the source of mindfulness. Johnathan utilizes yoga and meditation practice as the cultivation of a way of being rather than a way of doing. His approach is a way of being that is self-aware, self-compassionate, and embodied.
