Yoga Nidra
Sacred Rest for the Misfit Soul
What Is Yoga Nidra
Often translated as “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra is not sleep in the ordinary sense. It is a state of conscious rest — a gentle descent into the threshold between waking and dreaming where the body relaxes deeply while awareness remains present.
In this liminal space, the nervous system unwinds, the mind softens, and the deeper layers of the psyche begin to reveal themselves. Many people experience Yoga Nidra as a profound reset for the body and mind, allowing emotional, physical, and energetic tension to dissolve.
You simply lie comfortably in Savasana while being guided through stages of awareness that may include breath sensing, body awareness, imagery, and subtle inner reflection. Nothing needs to be forced or achieved.
“Even a single session can feel deeply restorative. It is often said that 30–45 minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel as nourishing as several hours of sleep.”
Sacred Rest for the Misfit Soul
In a world that constantly asks us to do more, move faster, and carry more than the heart was meant to hold, Yoga Nidra offers a quiet return to rest.
This is a practice of effortless being.
A practice close to my heart
The heart of contemplative practice.
Yoga Nidra is one of the specialty practices I most love to share and teach. In many ways, it is the heart of contemplative yoga practice — a space where effort falls away and we rediscover the simple intelligence of rest.
My approach blends traditional Yoga Nidra structure with a compassionate, contemplative, and trauma-aware approach to teaching. Each session is offered as a safe and welcoming sanctuary, especially for those who may feel like misfits in traditional wellness spaces.
There is no pressure to perform, stretch, or achieve anything here. You are simply invited to arrive, soften, and rest.
